When I was checking the set of photos I had taken of Edward and friends in the Big Red Car (see preceding blog post) I noticed that the first one I took was tinged with a blue colour.
Here's the photo.
I didn't really think about it much at the time, but I read something later which helped me realise the significance of that blue wash. I had taken that photo without flash, and that blue light is characteristic of the light just after sundown, but before night sets in.

By the way, Edward's arm is raised in this photo because he's saying, "There's an aeroplane, Daddy."
